Underwater is my most personal and intimate project, aiming to reframe how we
perceive nudity by desexualizing the human form and challenging ingrained taboos
around sexuality.
Religion and society have often cast nudity in a restrictive light, associating it with
shame or sexual desire. "Underwater" offers an alternative view: through self-portraits
and images of close friends, it captures female nudity in a natural, anatomical way—our bodies as they are, unburdened by imposed meanings.
In water, we float free of gravity and judgment, creating an organic and spontaneous geometry. An exploration of social biases—a chance to look and
ask: Does this image evoke shame, eroticism, or simply presence?
